I first heard this guy about 10 years ago, the song Tunak Tunak Tun, I think this song and video is better though, he's pimpin' with his purple turban and white pants.

...Of course the whole getting cut out of a shirt and smeared off the windshield is just weird...

If anyone can find an English translation of the title (Saade dil te Churiyan Chaliyan) I'll give you a dollar.

Also, has anyone else noticed youtube videos play extremely choppy lately? I don't know if my computer is messing up or youtube has somehow gotten worse.

Not a complete set of recommendations, but recommendations nonetheless...

"MSTRKRFT" (Fist of God)- A soaring, newly-styled mix of drum funk and turntablism by this increasingly popular canadian duo. Pull out your moon boots for this dance-off.

"Peter Bjorn and John" (Living Thing)- Another simplistic take on minimalist rock by this swedish trio; with a mysterious twist on emotive darkness they grapple a new layer of sound in their peculiar genre of existentialist deep thought.

"Yeah Yeah Yeahs" (It's Blitz!)- This fierce dance-rock album with punk flare is surely being pumped through the L.A., NYC, anc chi-town Hipsters' stereos and clubs. New-age beatniks UNITE.

"The Juan Maclean" (The Future Will Come)- Speaking of electro and rock. This new release jumps out of the speakers screaming old-school disco. The only catch is that for the most part, it isn't a DJ; it's a band throwing down these rompous grooves.

"Bon Iver" (Blood Bank EP)-If you enjoy shooting heroin inside of a 15x15 cabin in the woods, or you atleast thought about it, then you enjoyed the debut album and will also enjoy this new album by acoustic-nature boy and angelic songwriter, Bon Iver. Whats more, this will sit nicely with anyone having an appreciation for good acoustic-based emotive songwriting.

"Animal Collective" (Merriweather Post Pavilion)-Tagging a bands style is hard and sometimes rude to do, but {Freak Folk} is pretty encapsulating for this band. This new album swims somewhere in the middle of that perfect storm tag. If your musical tastes are outside of the box, but are still somewhere between eccentric vocals and varying worldy influances, Animal Collective might very well be just the self-medication you need.
